TDS has been alerted by customers that AT&T representatives are going door – to – door with a new deceptive sales strategy. The representatives are misleading people by stating, “TDS is going out of business, therefore you need to sign up with AT&T.”
Fact: TDS is NOT going out of business.
Fact: TDS will soon be purchased by TDS, as approved by voters on Nov. 5. The sale to TDS does not require any action by customers.
Please don’t be fooled by unscrupulous sales people. And stay alert for scams too. Do not share your account information or personal information with anyone contacting you to say they need your information to set up new accounts as a result of the sale to TDS. All records will transfer with the sale. TDS works hard to protect your personal information and you should too.
