Second Harvest Food Bank of Southern Wisconsin, the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline, and Badger Honor Flight all received an $8,000 donation from TDS Telecommunications for a total of $24,000!
The three charitable organizations were selected by TDS employees and were recommended by TDS’ Employee Resource Groups and its Diversity & Inclusion team.
“Helping those in need and giving back is such a huge part of our company’s culture,” said TDS President and CEO Jim Butman. “During these uncertain times, food banks, mental health organizations, and Veteran groups are making such a difference. TDS and our employees are pleased to help those who are improving the lives of so many, not just during the holidays, but all year long.”
Through its Be Good Citizens program, TDS also provides employees with 16 hours of paid time off every year to volunteer at the 501c3 organization of their choice.

Second Harvest Food Bank of Southern Wisconsin seeks to end hunger in southwestern Wisconsin. They are a member of a national network of local hunger-relief organizations.
Badger Honor Flight is based in Madison, Wisconsin, and is a regional affiliate of the national Honor Flight Network. The program ensures that World War II, Korean War, and Vietnam War and terminally ill Veterans of any war could see the memorials in Washington, D.C. erected in their honor.
The National Suicide Prevention Lifeline includes a network of over 160 crisis centers that provides 24/7 service via a toll-free hotline of 1-800-273-8255. The service is available to anyone in suicidal crisis or emotional distress.
